*What is a survey and why is it important?
The plat of survey is the legal document you receive when you close on your home that shows where your property lines are located. It shows how your home sits on the land, your easements, and setbacks. It is very helpful during a fence estimate as it will show where your property lines are located and whether or not you can place the fence in certain areas of your yard or not. The plat of survey is also required in order to apply for a building permit. Before your fence can be installed, a copy of your plat of survey will need to be given to our office so the installation crew has a copy on install day.
